The Colour Edit | Autumn
Hello my lovelies!! I have recently been noticing that a lot of new autumn colours slowly working their way into my wardrobe. I have done a lot of online shopping and I have found some incredible and colourful autumn pieces. I just have to share them with you!! I've selected my current four favourite colours and found some fashion and beauty items that go with them. I have also wrote a little summary of each colour and how it could possibly be added to your wardrobe!!
Boarder: Jumper, Beanie, Nail Varnish, Socks, Bag, Duster Coat, Shoes, Eye Shadow (Chrome Yellow) and Snood. |
Firstly is the colour Mustard. This may seem a little strange as a few of these items look yellow but the mustard colour is a little darker and more dusky looking. I personally think that this is such a nice colour and it reminds me of the yellow autumn leaves (hence the page border). My favourite mustard coloured piece would have to be the jumper, it would look so nice with a skater skirt, tights and a pair of brogues!! I also think that the Barry M nail varnish is quite a nice quirky for autumn, it's not one that I would wear at any other time of the year but I think for this season it's a look that can easily be pulled off!!
Border: Jumper, Hat, Skirt, Bag, Dress, Nail Varnish, Scrunchie, Boots and Lipstick (Rebel). |
Next is Burgundy which is a rather traditional autumn colour. This sort of reminds me of the deep red coloured autumn leaves. It's such a pretty colour that I defiantly have in my wardrobe. Wearing dark lipstick in autumn is an absolute must have for most of us girls!! I found this mac Lipstick in Rebel which I'm sure a lot of you have heard of before, it is such a stunning colour that is so wearable during this season. There is actually a lot of nice burgundy coloured accessories such as the backpack, hat, scrunchie and boots. This is defiantly my go to autumn colour.

Now moving on to Green. This isn't necessarily just an autumn colour because it's wearable all year round but dark greens and turquoise are starting to become apart of my wardrobe. The parka coats are very popular to wear green along with nice, soft scarves or snoods. I found this really nice bodycon dress that would look nice with a big jumper over the top, tights and army boots. It would be a great way to add a little green to your wardrobe and it is so easy to create casual or dressy outfits!!
Lastly is one of my favourites, which is Navy. One of my favourite pieces is the velvet dress and I think that I may have to even buy it!! The velvet trend is in at the moment, New Look and Topshop both have some really nice velvet pieces which you should look at if you like this trend!! Personally I wouldn't think that Navy is an autumn colour but I suppose that it goes quite nicely. I really like how these navy pieces are dressy yet casual. I think that the skater skirt with the striped top, tights and the cut out velvet heels would look so cute!! And for accessories you could wear the scrunchie, the watch and paint your nails to match. This would be the perfect outfit for a lunch date or if you meet up with friends. It could also be changed so that it is more suitable for work by adding the bag and a blazer!!
