A Sweet Little Treat!!

Hi everyone, I hope that you are all well!! Today's post is going to be very fun and festive!! You may be wondering what this post is all about from the title? Well I am going to be showing you all of your beauty advent calendar options for this year!! However I have also included a few none beauty calendars, just to show you some other options. I thought by doing this at the beginning of November it will give you time to think about which one you may want to buy in time for December!! (All of the photos have links to the product that will be in the captions). I have been able to find eight different calendars to show you so lets get straight in to it!!

Firstly I will start off with the beauty options...
Benefit Cosmetics
This first beauty advent calendar is Benefit's 'Candy Coated Countdown'. It retails for £60 and is filled with twenty four miniature benefit treats. If you want to find out what beauty items are in this advent calendar, benefit have listed each product that you will receive on their website. The calendar contains eighteen miniature beauty products and the remaining six are benefit accessories such as beauty sticky notes, a doodle pad and heart-shaped paper clips. Personally, I think this is a great for if you want to try Benefit products or if you aren't familiar with the brand this is a nice way to try some of their popular beauty bits.

The Body Shop
The second calendar is the 'Body Shop Beauty Advent Calendar'. This retails for £50 and contains some of the body shops best selling body and face care products along with some of their iconic fragrances. This advent calendar contains products like their Strawberry Lip Butter, Glazed Apple Heart Soap and the Frosted Cranberry Shimmer Lotion. I think that this is a really nice calendar, every day you would get a pampering treat which is so nice during winter. The body shop have some really nice luxurious products and for £50 this would be a great purchase.

Ciate London
Next is the very popular Ciatè London nail varnish advent calendar, which is called the 'Mini Mani Manor'. It's a bit of a tounge twister to say but it's quite a nice name for this product. This retails for £49.00 and is a twenty-four piece set that contains fifteen miniature nail pots, one full sized paint pot in Celestial and eight special effects pots. This calendar is great for any of you that love nail varnishes, it is a great brand that have a lovely range of colours to keep your nails looking pretty this Christmas season. The price is really good for this calendar and well worth the money.

No7
This is the 'No7 Beauty Calendar'. As you may know No7 is only sold at Boots as it is their brand, it costs just £35 and is one of the more affordable calendars of this year. It contains twenty-five make-up and skin care treats which are all best selling products of No7. The supposed value of the calendar is £135 and if you only have to pay £35 for the calendar then this is a great deal. Personally I think that is a great party season treat for those that like this brand, it isn't for everyone but it's certainly a nice calendar to have this Christmas.

Moving on to the You Beauty calendar. At first I had never heard of You Beauty until I found this calendar, I did a little bit of research and fount that You Beauty is actually a beauty box company which lets you 'try before you buy' on skin care and beauty products. It is a beauty subscription box, that you can sign up to for at an affordable price, you then receive a few beauty treats in a pretty packaged box each month. The calendar is worth £250 but is sold for £49.95 and as you can see from the picture there is a lot of nice goodies to have!! It is available to members and non-members of the group. And I must say that this is defiantly one of the most luxury calendars this year, it contains a nice mixture of big brands such as Laura Mercier, Liz Earle and Sisley. One of the other nice things about this calendar is that on the website it shows you each product you receive and you can read about it in detail, which is great because you know exactly what your getting for your money!! This is a calendar that I would personally want to buy myself!!

Moving on to the non-beauty section of the Christmas calendars...
Firstly is the 'Yankee Candle Advent Calendar' which contains twenty-four tea light candles. The aim of this calendar is to light a new candle everyday to celebrate the festive season, with the best of the yankee candle fragrances. It's one of the nicest ways to countdown to Christmas and if you are a candle fan then this calendar would be great for you!! It costs £21.99 which is a reasonable price for twenty-four of the perfect little tea lights. I think from this calendar that you would  get quite a few weeks worth of candles, so not only is it great for Christmas but they would last you quite easily in to the new year!! This would defiantly be a good Christmas countdown!!

Moving on to the second candle countdown, we have the 'Yankee Candle Advent House'. This is very similar to the other candle advent calendar, however this one is shaped like a 3D house and by the looks of the photo has a sample size candle, in it too!! On the official Yankee Candle website it doesn't give the best description of the product and it doesn't really tell you about the differences in the calendars. One thing that is different is the price, this one costs £24.99 so is only £3 more than the other one!! I have to say this is one of the most festive looking calendars this year!! I think that these candle countdowns are a great way to try out some new candle scents, it is also a nice way to burn new candles in the Christmas season each day!! I defiantly think this is a great Yankee Candle sampler and for £24.99 you can't go wrong!!
Lastly is a slightly different advent calendar. This one is from Topshop and is filled with twenty-four pieces of Jewellery. The jewellery is from the Freedom collection at Topshop. I have never really seen a calendar like this but it's quite a nice idea. The calendar contains twelve pairs of stud earrings, four ditsy fine bracelets and eight ditsy charm short necklaces, in both sliver and gold finishes. This is a nice calendar which is great for those of you that wear a lot of jewellery or if you are a fan of the Topshop jewellery this is a good calendar for you to have. It may be a different type of calendar but it's certainty unique!! It costs £25 and I think that it would make a great calendar and would keep you topped up on new pieces of jewellery for the upcoming party season!!

Thank you so much for reading, I hoped that you enjoyed this summary of the 2014 advent calendars, don't forget to come back for more seasonal, fun and festive blog post!! Bryony xx
