Back To School ~ Drug Store Make-Up Bag!!

Hi everyone!! So it's not long until we all return back to school or college. That's why todays post (if you haven't already guessed by the title) is a back to school beauty bag necessity's. I have already prepared my make up bag for when I start college, and hopefully this post will help you to do the same, with yours. These are products that you can use to keep your make up topped up through out the day, so it doesn't have to contain a lot of make up. I have kept each individual product under £10 so that they are all affordable. Hopefully this will help you feel a little more prepared for school and I hope that you enjoy!! (I apologise for some of the lighting in my photographs, the weather has been horrible lately so I couldn't photograph the products in nice day light)

In my make up bag I like to have the small necessity's that will help to keep me looking good through out the day. At the start of the day I will always do a full face of make up which will keep for a good two to three hours with out me needing to top it up. This means that my make up bag doesn't need to be full, but just needs to contain the products that I will need to re apply. I have wrote a small sentence for each product listed above to help you figure out what is important for you to have in your make up bag...

1: The first product is Concealer and this is a vital product for me especially if I have any blemishes. I will probably use this once in the day to re-cover my blemishes and to help hide any redness. If you also have any blemishes that you are worried about, I recommend carrying a concealer just in case they become worse during the day and you want to keep them covered.

2: The second product is Powder and this is defiantly a must have product!! It is a nice compact product that is cruital to help my skin stay matte through out a long school day. I have combination skin and so if you are like me, you should most defiantly have powder in your make up bag to prevent your skin from getting oily.

3: To help apply your powder you will need a little powder brush or small kabuki. I have the Soap & Glory Kabuki Brush which can be used for powder, bronzer or blusher. So if I wanted to also carry around blusher/bronzer then I would already have a brush to apply it with. It is small and compact so it easily fits in my make up bag.

4: The fourth product is the Soap & Glory Supercat eyeliner. This is my favourite eyeliner and is so easy to apply because it is just like using a pen. When I use this eyeliner I like to create a thin line, as close to my eyelashes as possible, to make it neat looking and not to heavy looking. It is a great product to use for school, because you can define your eyes without it being to noticeable (depending on how much you use). When I have this in my make up bag it is only to go back over the line if I think the colour has faded.

5: The next product is Maybelline Electro Collection Baby Lips. A lip balm is essential for you if you have dried or chapped lips, to help keep them moisturised. The two colours that I would recommend are 'Strike' a rose' or 'Pink Shock'. My favourite is 'Strike' a rose' as it is a pinky coral so it looks nice and natural. However 'Pink Shock' is more of a bright pink that is more noticeable and not so much natural.

6: The final product is mascara, I chose the Soap & Glory Thick and Fast. You might not always need to reapply mascara but it is good to have some just in case you need it. I would only usually reapply mascara if I wanted my eyelashes to look fuller or to apply it to the bottom lashes to open up my eyes. If you also like to keep your eyelashes volumised/fuller then I recommend using this mascara.

That's it for todays post I hoped that this has helped you to think about what your going to be putting in your make-up bag. Hopefully it has helped you feel a little more prepared for school. Next Saturday I will be uploading my back to school outfits/haul post, so make sure you come back for that and I'll see you next time!! Bryony x
