New To The Drug Store

Hi everyone!! I just wanted to quickly apologise for not uploading a blog post last week, I've been super busy but I have some great posts planned for the next week over half term!! Today I put together a little overview of some new beauty products that have recently been introduced at the drugstore. You may have already seen a lot of these products but I though for those of you that may have not seen some of the new items this is a good way to keep you updated!! Most of these items are from the drug store with the acceptation of one new Benefit Cosmetic product. So here are the new drugstore beauty bits...

Here is a quick little run down of all the new beauty bits. (Information sourced from retail sites)

1. Barry M Highlight and Contour Kit; contains a light highlighting powder to dust along the natural light areas of your face along with a medium brown powder to bronze, as well as a dark brown to sculpt/contour. I am quite impressed that Barry M are expanding their make-up range however after seeing this kit in store I wasn't to impress with the product because the colours didn't seem to be that great and on my fair skin they would look rather dark!!  Retails for £6.49

2. Max Factor Colour Intensifying Balm; claims to give a nice subtle hint of colour, using a light weight and buildable formula. These new Max Factor balms seem to be quite likeable as the packaging is simple but pretty and the colour range is quite appealing!! Retails for £8.99

3. Revlon Photo Ready Prime + Anti Shine Balm; is designed to help give a flawless airbrushed look and to erase the look of pores or imperfections. Personally I think that this product seems quite good, I am a big fan of Revlon and I might give in to buying this product!! Retails for £9.99 (Introductory)

4. Maybelline Dream Flawless Nude Foundation; available in seven shades and 12x finer than Maybelline's first liquid foundation, this new product is suppose to give a flawless coverage and a perfectly nude finish and feel. Now here is a product that I would love to put to the test, I have always steered clear of Maybelline foundations (for some odd unknown reason) however I'm on the hunt for a new 'flawless' foundation...may this be the one? Although it is available in seven shades after looking in store the product seemed to be less suitable for fair skinned people like myself however I will have to take another look!! Retails for £8.99

5. Bourjois Colour band 2-in-1 Eyeshadow and Liner; finally a new product from Bourjois!! These new two in one eye products claim to be highly pigmented and last for 24 hours, with the colours designed for both day and night but also to glide easily on to the eyes thanks to the creamy formula which also makes them blend effortlessly. Claiming that their product does quite a lot I am impressed with the colours as well as the two in one idea, after looking at these in store I'm not so sure I would use them as a liner because they are quite similar to a chubby stick however I may be wrong!! Retails for £5.99

6. Max Factor Creme Puff Blush; a simple sweep and sculpt for an effortless flush of colour. With multi-tonal pigments that blend effortlessly together for a gorgeous finish...I do have to say simplicity is a good word for this product. The colours are just flawless, the packaging is elegant and they are just wow!! Although I am not currently looking for new blushers these just seem so good and I am so tempted to splash some cash to have them all!! Defiantly one of my new to the drugstore favourites that I really want to try!! Retails for £8.99

7. Maybelline Lash Sensational Lash Multiplying Mascara; ideal if you want layers and layers of voluminous, blackest of black lashes, that are totally defined!! As you may know Maybelline mascaras never really disappoint, this mascara has already been raved about and I'm sure many more of you beauty gals will also love it!! I've been tempted to try this for a while but if you already love it comment below and let me know!! Retails for £5.99

8. Benefit Cosmetics Roller Lash Mascara; with a brush designed to hook 'n' roll the lashes and to separate, lift and curl!! Who needs an eyelash curler when you have this?? I got my exclusive free sample from the latest edition of Elle magazine which I'm sure most of you heard about, I honestly already love this mascara and will defiantly be buying it!! There isn't much else to say other than I love it and my tiny little lashes are now completely noticeable and so much longer! Retails for £19.50

9. Barry M Speedy Quick Dry Nail Paint; designed to dry at a lighting speed manicure in seconds!! With a newly designed brush for precise and only a two coat application these new polishes look great. I love Barry M nail varnishes and the speedy collection colours look amazing!! Retails for £3.99

10. Maybelline Dr Rescue Babylips; have been in the drugstore for about a month so are still relatively new. Along with the original and electro collection the British Babylips line has now expanded with the Dr Rescue. These moisturising lip balms with a hint of colour are especially designed to lock in moisture and keep your lips happy!! Retails for £3.49

I did quickly want to say I did go on a shopping trip and sourced out the newest products, swatching them and deciding what I did and didn't like...and that's why I did reference quite a bit to looking at products in store. Thanks so much for reading and don't forget to come back everyday this week for another post!!

Thanks so much!! Bryony xx
