My Current 'Go To' Lip Colour ~ Review
Hi everyone!! Recently I visited my local Mac counter and treated myself to a new lipstick, I picked up the shade 'Craving' which is an Amplified Creme finish. I have been loving this shade and that's why I wanted to do a review on my current lip combination, which I can not stop wearing!! The second product is a lip liner, from the brand Natural Collection in the shade 'Mulberry', I have wanted to buy a lip liner for quite a while as I don't actually already own one. (For this post I have kept most photos un-edited so that you can see the colour of the lipstick/liner with natural day light, so I do apologise for the slight bad quality of lighting and pixilation)
Starting with the Mac lipstick, my favourite formula has to be the amplified crème finishes as they are so smooth, creamy and have great pigmentation. They are so luxurious and just feel so nice on the lips, this colour especially nice because it is so versatile for a day or night time look. It is defiantly a flattering lip colour for every skin tone, as it is an easy to work with subtle colour. I like that this shade isn't to pink toned, but at the same time it's nice that it isn't too red toned. I would consider it to be more of a muted plumy/cranberry colour combination, of both reds and pinks. It also isn't to light or dark of a shade. Unfortunately this specific formula doesn't have the long lasting tag with it however I do not mind re-applying every few hours as the colour doesn't smudge (which is great) but instead gently fades away, the downside to that is it may be slightly irritating on a night out when your eating and drinking. The lipstick is available here and retails for £15.50!! So now you know all about my current obsessed with this lipstick, lets move on to lip liner!!

I have never really tried many lip liners so I don't have much of a comparison to go by however I saw this Natural Collection liner in Boots for £1.99 which may have been on an offer I'm not entirely sure but it was a great price. Anyways it is pretty much a basic pencil, it applies easily on to the lips, it has a silk like texture and my Mac lipstick applies smoothly over the top. The liner is great for if I want fuller looking lips, as I can easily exaggerate my lip line to make them appear bigger also it makes the lipstick a little more long lasting as well as there still being remaining colour from the liner when the lipstick started to fade away. Overall it seems like the perfect colour match!!
Here are the swatches of the lipstick and liner, the top swatch is blended and the bottom swatch is applied without being touched. Also you can see from the lip liner swatch the lipstick colour matches the liner better once blended out.
