Drug Store Favourites: L'Oreal Colour Riche Lipsticks

Right now I am on a beauty blogging roll, I do love my beauty products but it's rather surprising that so far my May posts are mainly all about beauty (sorry to anyone looking to read a fashion post, I'll pop one on my blog again soon). If you read my beauty haul post from around two weeks ago, then you may have noticed that I brought a L'Oreal Colour Riche lipstick. I already owned two but now that I have a little collection growing I thought that I would tell you what I think of them...

Firstly I adore the packaging of these lippy's as they are sleek, simple and super easy to pop in to my bag. The only awkward thing about the packaging is the little notch that clips the cap but that only affects me if I'm in a hurry!! The three shades that I own are very well worn, I find myself reaching for these lipsticks over any other in my collection at the moment which is quite annoying as I have a lot of other lip products I should use too but right now these are all I like to wear.

The formula of these lipsticks are very soft and smooth as well as being light weight and not sticky. I find that these lipsticks give good pigmentation with one swipe but two gives the colour more definition. They all have nice shiny finishes that last for a good 4 to 5 hours. When I first tried these lipsticks I thought that the smell was really odd and I didn't like it however over time and after many uses it no longer bothers me although some people are defiantly put off by their particular scent.

Shade 461 is what I would class as a pink toned red. It is very gorgeous bright red colour that it most wearable for night time occasions, I have not yet worn this in the day but on a night out it is one of my 'go to' reds. I especially love this red because it's lasting power is amazing!!

Shade 632 is the perfect peachy day time colour, with a hint of shimmer I find this to be my perfect pinky nude. The formula is in no way drying and it just adds a nice touch of colour to the lips for me it's a 'my lips but better' kind of colour.

Shade 255 is more of a purple/pink plum colour, I find the application of this lipstick is not as smooth as the others because it does contain a bit more shimmer however it isn't overly noticeable on the lips and is still a creamy texture when you wear it. I like this shade if I want my lips to be more defined/noticeable as it isn't to dark or subtle but perfect if you want a plum coloured spring lip.

I hope that you enjoyed this post and let me know what you think of the L'Oreal colour riche if you have tried them or if you have your eye on a certain shade!!

Bryony x
