Celebrities Wardrobes For The: Met Gala 2015
I am so excited to be writing a post all about this years Met Gala event as the celebrities really stepped up their style. As this event has a different theme each year it's gives the celebs a chance to dress a little differently to what they would usually wear to other red carpets, so it's quite fun writing about what they wore. For those of you that may not know what the Met Gala is, it's an annual fundraising gala (festival) for the benefit of the 'Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute' in NYC. The event has been around and held at the Met since 1946 and each year brings a different theme to celebrate the theme of that year's costume institute exhibition, so each guest is expected to chose their fashion to match. For the 2015 Met Gala the theme was 'China: Through the Looking Glass' and her are what some of the celebs wore...

Okay where do I even start with Kim K? She's known for her skin tight and slightly revealing fashion sense but I have to say she always looks so fashionable!! I actually really like this Roberto Cavalli dress that she is wearing, yes it may be a bit revealing but I think it has kind of a chic sophistication to it. Next is Anne Hathaway in Ralph Lauren, this isn't my favourite look but since this years Met theme was 'China' I felt as thought the colour of her dress pulled this outfit together because it seemed classic and in no fancy words...expensive! Then we have Amal Clooney, I am actually quite surprised at how many celebs wore red to this event, some pulled it off but when I first saw this photo she kind of blended in with the carpet, am I right? Anyway I like the detailing of her Maison Margiela dress and I love how her hair was styled to the side with a subtle red lip.

Next up is Jenifer Lawrence in Dior Haute Couture, I think she looks so fab and so stylish. This isn't your typical kind of red carpet gown and at first glance I didn't think it was that special however the floral print on the top adds a nice pop of colour which is nice because it gives her a feminine and fun look. Moving on to Rihanna, with yet again another "out there" dress. If you can remember her dress from the Grammy's this is kind of her gala equitant, big, bright and bold. The Guo Pei dress looks really luxurious and detailed with lovely little embellishments so I guess that it was a pretty expensive piece. I have seen a lot of jokey photo's re-created of Rhianna wearing this but I actually think it was suitable for an event like this, I mean when else could she wear it? I love the head piece and necklace so I think she did a great job at pulling it off. One of my current favourite celebrities right now is Amanda Seyfried who is wearing Givenchy Haute Couture, I have been really inspired by her style lately and I love this edgy look she is going for. The plain white dress makes her appearance glamorous and mature, I think the bold lip defiantly worked, I give it a 9/10!!

Where has Selena Gomez been!! I feel like I haven't seen her pop up at any events in ages but I am so glad to see her at this event, especially in her amazing Vera Wang dress. Dressed head to toe in mainly white, Selena looks amazing, completely elegant and effortless!! I love this dress with a tiny bit of skin being revealed as well as the slicked back hair and pretty white hair piece. I give her look a 8/10!! Next we have a classic fashionista, Sarah Jessica Parker, who is surprisingly wearing a H&M dress!! Shocker, I know!! What I love most about this look is that she clearly isn't afraid to try a new style and to co-ordinate with the Chinese theme. The head piece totally makes this outfit work and she pulls it off amazingly!! Lastly is Kendall Jenner, who is an obvious beauty!! She's a model with a great figure and that's why she looks so casual in this Calvin Klein Collection Dress showing off a bit of side skin. She looks young and funky and all I have to say is go Kendall because this look is so now and so stylish...although my one thought would be where is the china theme?
I hoped that you enjoyed yet again another fashion post, as I can not get enough of what celebrities are wearing right now!! If your interested in reading another post like this check out my last 'Celebrities Wardrobes'. All of these photos were sourced from the Vouge website. I think my favourite looks from this year were Kim K, Amanda Seyfried and Sarah Jessica Parker.
