American Candy Taste Test!!

Recently I have been obsessed with watching American Candy Taste Test videos. I am quite obsessed with everything American and decided to do a little taste test for myself, I picked up most of these American Candy treats from supermarkets Tesco of which had the best selection!! It was really fun to try a lot of these candy's and here is what I thought...

Tootsie Roll - Is what seems to be a classic American candy that you see in most taste test videos. For anyone who knows what a curly whirly is it is basically similar caramel to that but with a weird subtle chocolate flavour, very chewy and kind of tasteless. Score: 4/10

Twinkies - Are little finger sized cakes that I imagined to be like fairy cakes...but by no means are they!!! I thought they would taste amazing but they were not, the creamy filling wasn't bad but the sponge tasted stale (it was in date) but there wasn't even much of a sweet flavour. Score: 2/10

Hershey Cookies'n'Cream - Seems to be very popular here in the UK, a lot of my friends like it and it was something that I could sit and eat. It was really rich and sweet quite different to Cadburys but I would buy it again however it did get a bit sickly!! Score: 7/10

Flipz White Fudge Covered Pretzels - OMG these were amazing!! I wasn't too sure how I felt about pretzels but I love fudge!! They are so sweet and it just works, defiantly a great snack for a sleepover!! Score: 9/10

M&M's Birthday Cake - I was very excited about these I mean how can M&M's taste like birthday cake? (Well with a lot of E numbers I suppose its possible!!) I was quite disappointed as they kind of tasted like regular ones but with more sugar, were very good but nothing that special. Score: 7/10

Peanut Butter Oreo's - As a fan of nutella I presumed peanut butter was very similar but a nutty flavour. Before tasting these Oreo's I had never tried peanut butter which may be a shock for some however I imagined the taste to be intense but these were actually nice. One was quite sickly so getting through a packet would be a while!! Score: 5/10

Milk Duds - Similar to a Tootsie Roll milk duds are like little circle shaped caramel pieces covered in chocolate, the caramel was very similar to a curly whirly again but a lot chewier!! Score: 5/10

Pop Rocks - We have these in the UK however the American packaging looked really cool. These are just ordinary popping rocks, these ones turned my tounge blue and I only had to taste a few but they are a fun little candy to try!! Score: 8/10

Icebreakers Sour - After never really being a fan of toxic waste I wondered if these would be similar!! They are just like little circle shaped sweets with speckles of colour. The mixed fruit ones are quite nice after a few seconds they become quite sour but bearable!! However I am not a fan of the strawberry ones which are way more sour!! Score: 5/10

Cookie Dough Bites - Very sugary, sweet and yet delicious. These didn't last very long as they tasted so good, I only ate a few because they were so sugary but they are literally cookie dough balls covered in chocolate, a nice little treat!! Score: 6/10

I hope you enjoyed this different type of post it was so fun to try all of these American treats, I wanted to mention a quick little disclaimer that I do not want to cause offense if you like one of these particular candy's that I do not as that is just my opinion!!

Are there any American Candy's you have tried? If so what do you think of them?!
