The Autumn Lipstick Vibe
Looking to liven up your autumn lip collection? Here are a few lippy's I'm currently loving!!
Soap & Glory - Purple Rain: A deep plum colour that gives a radiant sheen to the lips. There is minimal pigmentation from one application but is easily buildable for more colour. Glides easily on to the lips as well as being hydrating and could be considered to have a similar consistency to a lip butter. This is one of S&G's buzz free lip formulas that claims to add volume to your lips, I don't really notice a difference it that aspect but it defiantly is a universal shade and one of which is great if your not in to bold stand out colours. £3.50
Makeup Revolution - Depraved: Is a lipstick that is defiantly making a statement, bold, bright and very noticeable this shade is great for if your a daring person when it comes to make-up. With a lot of pigmentation and richness the formula is very creamy and fun to wear. It may not be as long lasting as other lipsticks however it's still amazing. I find depending on your natural lip colour, you might need to re-apply more times than some one else might. A great memory of this lipstick is when I very proudly wore it to V-Festival 2015 as it's one I like to wear when I'm feeling a little bit adventurous. £1
Mac - Craving: Can only be described as a wonderful plumy colour with a burst of pink. As it is an amplified finish it's non drying, easily glides on to the lips and is opaque. This is quite a universal shade and would suit most skin tones. It is very long lasting and personally for me it's like 'my lips but better' kind of shade. It's also a little effort lipstick, which basically means you can just swipe it on and have instant colour without it needing to be perfectly applied. An overall enjoyable lippy to wear in autumn. £15.50
Rimmel - Shade 30: Has to be a classic burgundy/plum shade, that's great for this time of year. Like most lipsticks from Rimmel this one has fabulous pigmentation, creamy formula and gives that edgy autumn vibe look. As this lipstick is so pigmented and a rather dark shade it does require some maintenance, I would say it takes several minutes to apply and build up the colour. When wearing this shade, I probably re-apply every couple of hours to keep the intensity of the colour, I can also say it last even after eating and drinking which is fab!!! Again another shade suitable for most skin tones and a great drugstore price!! £5.49
That sums up my current lipstick vibes this autumn, as you can probably tell I am into a mixture of both bold and subtle shades, that are also creamy formulas as I'm not too sure how I feel about velvet lippy's!! Let me know what your favourite autumn lipstick shades are as I'd love to add more to my collection!! Thanks for reading!!
