Pastel Mint Manicure

Hello everyone, I'm finally back after a quick break from blogging due to my hectic life!! It's almost summer and my first year of college is almost over...which is so crazy!! Anyway to kick start my blog in order for summer I have a post all about nails, I recently discovered that I have an unidentified obsession with green/blue nail varnish? You ask why? I don't even know myself but when I was going through my collection of nail varnishes these were the main majority of colours!! I suppose I enjoy wearing greens and blues in summer because they go with everything, they're bright and a fun pop of colour...so here are a few of my favourites that I recommend you try if your in the market for some more summer nail varnishes...or greens/blues for that matter!!

Firstly I just wanted to mention that these polishes are all from Barry M, the reason for that is because it's my favourite nail varnish brand that's affordable, has a great selection of colours and textures, as well as the polishes always being long lasting and applying nicely.

Sugar Apple: is a much loved favourite of mine, it's a pale mint pastel colour from the Gelly Hi-Shine collection, it is also probably my most worn summer colour from last year!!

Ridley Road: is another mint coloured varnish that is new-ish to my collection. It is pretty similar to 'Sugar Apple' but is a more brightly coloured mint and is from the kind of bobbly effect texture.

Mint Green: is Barry M's official mint green shade (shock!!), it looks a lot darker in the photo but is actually brighter when you wear it. I have to admit this is not my favourite because you have to apply a good 3-5 coats of this particular colour to get any pay off however when it does apply and you can see the colour it is so nice for any occasion.

Green Berry: is also apart of the Gelly Hi-Shine collection and is a turquoisey, green aqua colour. It is very summer appropriate shade and is defiantly very eye-catching. This varnish would not only be great if you were going on holiday and had a bright mint/green bikini to pair it with but also just for general wear throughout summer!!

Emerald Green: is both a nice shade for Christmas and a nice summer shade for my toe nails The varnish contains a lot of shimmer and is quite a cute colour...I would say this is a shade to be worn with sandals!!

Pacific: is the most blue/greeny shade of this selection and is from the Aquarium Collection which I think was launched last year. It defiantly has a metallic look with again lots of shimmer and a nice yellow/green reflective shine. It's a nice shade for both hands and feet.
